Places to visit at the Costa Cálida coast ...

Next to the Santa Rosalia Lake and Life Resort you'll find Los Alcázares, a nice Spanish village on the Mar Menor, with a 4,5 miles long beach and a more than 3 miles long boulevard. Connected to Los Alcázares you'll find Los Narejos, with nice bars and restaurants.
Los Alcázares is only 2 miles from the Santa Rosalia Lake and Life resort.

In the southern Costa Cálida you can visit the cities of Murcia, Cartagena and Torrevieja. Both, Murcia and Cartagena are ancient cities with nice places to visit and good shopping facilities. Cartagena is only a 15 minutes’ drive from the Santa Rosalia Lake and Life Resort.
Visit Cartagena

The Costa Cálida Coast is special recognisable through its large "Mar Menor". This see looks like a lake, all around surrounded by land, but with a little connection to the Mediterranean See. So it has salt water. The government has decided to put a lot of effort in restoring this natural habitat. Here you have real nice natural areas to visit and long sandy beaches. Everywhere you can spot flamingos in the salty water of La Mar Menor.

In the upper north of the Mar Menor you'll find San Pedro del Pinatar with their famous mud baths and natural borders between the Mar Menor and the open Mediterranean Sea. San Pedro del Pinatar is the best visited area on the Costa Cálida coast.

Another place, further along the coast, that you should definitely visit is Cabo de Palos. The name refers to the famous lighthouse on top of the hill. A nice fishing village with cosy terraces on the water. You can also take a very nice walk along the cliffs by the sea here. A real fishing spot; my favourite place in the south of Spain ;)

On your way to Cabo de Palos you'll see the exit of Parque Regional de Calblanque. This nature reserve on the Costa Cálida is unique in its kind thanks to the beautiful white sandy beaches.
