Your Holiday at the Costa Cálida ...
The Costa Cálida is located in the Murcia region and stretches from San Pedro del Pinatar in the North to Águilas in the South. Murcia and Cartagena are the biggest cities in this region. The Costa Cálida is also known as "the warm coast" with only very little rainfall throughout the year. The 250 km coastline has over 150 beaches, most of them are nice and sandy beaches. At the North part of this area you'll find the Mar Menor, the largest salt water Lake of Europe. A 170 km large area, connected to the midtarranean sea. The nature in this area is overwelming. In San Pedro del Pinatar you'll find perfect walking possibilities along large mud baths and salt lakes. Along the Mar Menor you can see Pelicans almost everywhere. The government makes a lot of efforts to increase nature at the Mar Menor and the beaches are well maintained. So this area is perfect for nature and toerism, as well as for sun lovers and water sport lovers; with many moorings for boats.
